Gary Cox is a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt with Barrington Consulting and a Senior Associate Partner and co-lead of Barrington OPS. Gary brings more than 15 years of Black Belt project execution experience to the team and has been a Master Black Belt since 2010. Gary uses his LSS skills to develop and support strategies for implementing LSS methodologies to enhance the evolution of a company to attain a continuous improvement culture. Cumulatively, Gary has executed and overseen LSS projects that have achieved over $25 million in savings. Gary has also contributed to iSixSigma.com as a subject matter expert and is at the forefront of emerging and innovative concepts in the continuous improvement space.
Gary has extensive LSS experience in both the public and private sector and has worked with practitioners at all levels of client organizations, from senior executives to middle managers to front line staff. Gary has led and coached Lean Six Sigma projects within a variety of industries. While with Canada Post he oversaw the transformation of four NS Postal Plants and Visual Management Depots during their “Postal Transformation”. He worked collaboratively with Purolator Courier process improvement leaders within the Maritime facilities to implement daily lead indicator huddle boards. In his most recent engagement with Eden Valley Poultry, he is leading the training and coaching for frontline supervisors and managers with visual management huddle boards and real-time in-process performance and quality indicators. He has also led and coached improvement in transactional services (e.g., Hiring Process and Success Planning Process). Gary was the lead facilitator working with the Province’s Corporate Lean & Continuous Improvement Office to deliver LSS training and Green Belt coaching support as part of the Province’s Lean Six Sigma deployment.
