The need

The client did not have the capacity to conduct an in-house privacy impact assessment to assess the privacy compliance of a healthcare app. The client needed this PIA completed in order to land a client of their own.

The solution

The Barrington Privacy team was brought into the organization and they completed the privacy impact assessment. The team worked with the client’s customer to make sure their privacy concerns were addressed.

Barrington also held a feedback session at the end of the process to make sure the customer’s needs were reflected in the final assessment.

The results

Barrington’s client was successful in landing the contract with their customer. All parties were satisfied that the solution complied with privacy best practices and relevant legislation to take appropriate care of personal health information.
