Creating a 5-Year plan to modernize the College of North Atlantic
Barrington partnered with the College of North Atlantic to deliver a five-year strategic plan to modernize the College, align with provincial government agendas and engage internal and external stakeholders.
The need
The College of the North Atlantic was pursuing a modernization agenda and required a strategic plan that would guide the College towards these modernization goals over the next approximately five years. This project engaged nearly 350 stakeholders across various groups, including government, College faculty and staff, leaders, students, graduates, industry representatives and community members.
The solution
In developing this plan and guiding the College’s strategic direction, Barrington performed the following activities:
- Performed labour market research and best practices jurisdictional scans
- Engaged stakeholders, including College staff, students, community, government, and industry to co-create compelling strategic directions
- Delivered comprehensive strategic plan + detailed implementation plan
The results
With the support of Barrington, the College was able to create a five-year strategic plan that helped the organization understand how best to support the local economy and compete on a global scale.
