Indigenous Practice

Our Indigenous Practice is led by an Indigenous Associate Partner, in close collaboration with Indigenous Treaty Partners, a Mi’kmaw-owned business. Together, we bring deep-rooted understanding and expertise in Indigenous relations; and we ensure authentic and impactful collaborations for meaningful change.

As an organization and as individual practitioners, we’re proud to be committed continuous improvement in Indigenous relations and to working across cultures, recognized by the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program. This is our first step in being intentional and committed to partnering with Indigenous communities and businesses for a more inclusive economy.

At Barrington, we demonstrate our commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #92 in many ways, including:

  • Indigenous Ally and Treaty education for leadership and staff
  • Mentoring of an Indigenous Business
  • Indigenous representation in corporate equity and leadership
  • Scholarship through the Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation
