Indigenous Practice

Our Indigenous Practice is led by an Indigenous Associate Partner, in close collaboration with Indigenous Treaty Partners, a Mi’kmaw-owned business. Together, we bring deep-rooted understanding and expertise in Indigenous relations; and we ensure authentic and impactful collaborations for meaningful change.

As an organization and as individual practitioners, we’re proud to be recognized for our commitment to Progressive Aboriginal Relations™ (PAR) by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). This is our first step in being intentional and committed to partnering with Indigenous communities and businesses for a more inclusive economy.

At Barrington, we demonstrate our commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #92 in many ways, including:

  • Indigenous Ally and Treaty education for leadership and staff
  • Mentoring of an Indigenous Business
  • Indigenous representation in corporate equity and leadership
  • Scholarship through the Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation
