Robert Newcombe is an Associate Partner and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with the Barrington Consulting Group. He co-leads the Barrington OPS (Operational Performance Services) division which specializes in Lean Six Sigma training, coaching, projects, strategy, and program deployment. Robert is a Professional Engineer (Industrial) and has his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with experience in many different industries including public sector, manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, long-term healthcare, and financial services. Robert started his Lean Six Sigma career in 2011 with a four-month co-op term at General Motors in Oshawa. Since then, he has helped local manufacturing and food processing organizations such as Nu-Air Ventilation Technologies, GN Thermoforming, and Eden Valley Poultry.
Robert loves to solve challenging problems where analyzing and visualizing data meets people and behaviour change. He is especially passionate about helping local, small-to-medium sized businesses improve their operations and make a difference. Robert has been dubbed the “Productivity Guru” in the firm and is continuously learning and applying new insights related to personal productivity, email management, and technology. Robert is a “Connector” with the Halifax Partnership Connector Program and passionate about helping students and new graduates get started in their careers.
