We give our professional time and talents to our communities

We proudly support the following professional organizations through sponsorships, memberships, and in-kind support:

  • Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC) / Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) / International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) /
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) – Nova Scotia Chapter / Canadian Women in Technology / Project Management Institute (PMI) – Newfoundland & Labrador Chapter

We’ve partnered with Memorial University’s Research Innovation Office

Memorial University’s Research Innovation Office offers the Insight Business Consulting (IBC) Program, a program that allows participating MBA students to be paired with start-up companies to assist with projects, while gaining real-world experience, valuable connections, and contributing to the local start-up community.

The Barrington team is proud to work with these MBA students to provide support and guidance on management consulting and client services. Participating start-up companies can also avail themselves of consulting services from Barrington – whether it be advice on strategy, business planning, project management, or anything else – through optional sessions offered each semester.

We have given in-kind support to the Dalhousie University Emera ideaHub

The Emera ideaHUB bridges the gap between discovery and commercialization to help Dalhousie students, researchers and faculty bring new products to market and launch and grow their startups.

Barrington is very proud to have been the official ‘Consultant in Residence’ for the ideaHub, giving free professional services hours each year to support resident startup companies and the ideaHub operation itself. We were in formal partnership with the ideaHub from 2019 to 2021 and have seen the positive impact that our in-kind contributions have made to regional startups.
